While there are no General Membership Meetings this summer, the Board is working on exciting plans for the club in the months to come.
For example, computers in the Computer Lab will soon be equipped with Microsoft Office 16 programs. We will be equipped to provide our members with help on the very latest Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs.
New 2016-2017 Season
Our 2016-2017 season will open on Wednesday, September 13 with Apple Night. This will be for our Mac and iPad user members, as well as to show “ PC” owners how Mac units work. Apple users, please come to advance your skills. PC users come to see what Apple can offer you – maybe you want to switch on your next purchase. Who knows? This is our first ever Apple Night. Come and make it a success so we can schedule more Apple focused programs.
Please note that our October General Meeting has been moved to Wednesday, October 19 in order to avoid a conflict with a major religious holiday.
APCUG International Technology conference in Las Vegas
Also, in October some members of the Board will be attending the APCUG International Technology conference in Las Vegas. (Association of Personal Computer User Groups). As a member group our club receives valuable information from APCUG, including suggestions for program topics and the availability of program presenters. At this conference attendees will learn about the ever changing world of technology.
Members of our club are welcome to attend. Early registration costs $85 which includes some meals. If you are interested in attending, contact Club president Carol Greenstein (cgreenstein @ ca.rr.com) to receive an APCUG conference information package, or go to email@example.com.
