February 2017 President’s Message

February activities

Have you attended one of our Wednesday Evening General Meetings? You will always learn something of value when you come to the Wednesday meetings. Also, the computer club offers a variety of classes on Fridays. You can learn about iPads, Microsoft Office, Digital Photography and anything else you can think of that deals with our digital world today. Take advantage of your membership, and if you are not a member, those are good reasons to join.

Cox Presentation

Cox security presentationAt our 7 PM, Wednesday February 8, general meeting, a representative from Cox will make a presentation regarding High Speed Internet and Home Security. Be certain to ask about the different internet speeds that Cox offers, and how noticeable the differences are. Home Security is something we should be concerned with. You will learn how Cox protects their clients when the client subscribes to their service. These topics are two great reasons to be at the February 8 meeting.

Friday Classes

On most Fridays your computer club has classes that are held in the computer room. If you have not attended any of these classes you are losing out on adding computer knowledge to your life. You will receive an email announcement from one of these instructors, Jan Miller, Barry Robbins, and Harvey Gershenson, prior to the class. This announcement will describe the instruction you will receive, and the time of day the class will be held. Don’t forget to bring your questions with you when you attend a class. See you on Wednesday evening, February 8.
